A Reverberating Legacy in Organ, Choral, and Piano Music

A prolific composer in the realms of organ, choral, and piano music, Carolyn Hamlin’s extensive repertoire is featured in catalogs from Lorenz, Fred Bock, Genevox, Purifoy, Monarch, Majesty, Beckenhorst, Hal Leonard, Alfred, SoundForth, and Hinshaw Music companies. She holds memberships in ASCAP, Pi Kappa Lambda, and AGO.

Carolyn Hamlin is an active composer, arranger, and organist who holds a degree from North Greenville University. Her studies in organ and piano at Furman University (with David Gibson and Edwin Clark) and Bob Jones University (with Karl Stahl) reflect her dedication to her musical artistry. Additionally, she delved into composition at Westminster Choir College’s summer study workshops under Alice Parker.

Carolyn’s legacy is celebrated at North Greenville University’s Performing Arts Building with the Hamlin Recital Hall. Recognizing her significant contributions, the university bestowed upon her an honorary Doctorate of Music degree, and she was honored with the prestigious Order of the Silver Crescent in South Carolina.
